Memorial Day Weekend

First I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all of the men and women who sacrificed anything to keep our country safe!  Especially, (great) Grandfather, (great) Paw Paw, Grandpa, Uncle Kris, Cousin Michael, and Mr. Jerry!

I had a very exciting first Memorial Day weekend!  We started Friday night by going to my first county fair!  At first, I liked all the lights and things.  But then, I decided it was too noisy with too many strangers, so I zonked...

Here I am posing in my sleep with my first fair fishie, Toots, and my stuffed turtle.  Daddy won them both for me while I was asleep.

Then, Saturday we decided to honor this special holiday by going down to DC.  I got to see the monuments and memorials for the first time!  I wasn't too sure about posing for pictures in front of such a big monument.

Then we went to the World War II monument.  I liked that one with the fountain.  A nice lady took our picture so Mommy and Daddy could both be in it.

Mommy and Daddy were very proud of me because I was quiet and respectful at all of the memorials and monuments.

Here I am in my cool outfit after a bottle.  It was a good day!  I drooled all over my shirt since it was there and loose and I could push it in my mouth.  Daddy said my shirt was more gross at the end of the day than any of my dirty diapers!  I just thought it tasted good!

Grandpa Fuzz

Grandpa Fuzz was in town for work, so Mommy and Daddy took me down to Old Town Alexandria to meet him for dinner.  He took me to my first pub.  He had his cider jack (which I wasn't too sure about).

Then I got to hit the bottle.  It was a great visit!  

I love you, Grandpa!

And, I miss you already!

Oh, Bother

This is my best Eeyore pose so far!

Auntie Nee and Uncle Marshall decided that I needed my very own Eeyore and brought him to me last weekend.  He was the perfect buddy to cuddle with on the yucky days we had this week.  Me and Mommy and Eeyore on the couch in our jammies, all nice and warm.  We just watched the cold, rainy days from our favorite window.  No walks in that weather... Oh, Bother... 

My Baptism

I wasn't so sure about the gown and cap, but Grandmum says that Daddy wore them at his baptism, so I guess they're okay.  This was me with Mommy and Daddy before the ceremony.

I got a cake and 2 parties!  It was lots of fun!  I slept through most of it, but everyone said it was fun! And, I still got passed around!  How are Mommy and Daddy going to outdo this for my birthdays to come?!  

Happy Birthday to Me

I turned 2 months old yesterday!  I spent the day napping and eating mostly, with a few diaper changes and smiles thrown in for good measure.  I also demanded that Mommy hold me most of the day, so she didn't even get near the computer or get any pictures of me.  Today, I decided to let her put me down for a little while and smile for the camera.

Here I am stretching out so you can see how big I'm getting.  I'm almost 13lbs!  This was my fun airing out time in between jammies and my day clothes.  I like being nekkid (that's how Mommy says it, she says it's when you're naked and up to mischief)... I'm sure I'm going to give great chases while I'm nekkid when I learn to walk!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I had a very nice morning siesta in my sleepy wrap in honor of Cinco de Mayo.  When I started to wake up, Mommy moved me to my Boppy.  I took my time stretching and waking up, but I definitely woke up HAPPY! 

It was a GREAT siesta!  Now, I'm ready to play!

I finally decided that Mommy needed to stop playing with the camera and focus all of her attention on me.  This is my Dr. Evil/Austin Powers "what the heck are you doing?" look.  Also, I got the eyebrow raise from Daddy (we have to give credit where credit is due).

Walking with Mommy

The weather finally cleared up and I decided to take Mommy for a walk.  We're trying to get her skinny again.  It was loads of fun and I got to wear my cool shades for a little while (at least until I told Mommy, ever so sweetly, to TAKE THEM OFF!).

I'm so happy with myself!  Mommy keeps telling me how handsome I am!  I've got her wrapped around my little finger!  And yes, I still have my dimple, Grandmum.

Nap Time

All I needed was a clean diaper!  I kept telling Mom, but she wasn't figuring it out, so I had to tell her louder!  Finally, a clean behind, and I fell asleep on my changing table.  Mom didn't want to wake the beast, so left me there and was stuck in there until I decided my nap was over.  

This is my new favorite place to sleep... in my Sleepy Wrap on Mommy!  That way she can't put me down.   It's also the only way I'll calm down now when I get the screamies!  Mommy says it's worth its weight in gold, whatever that means...

I just know... I ALWAYS GET MY WAY!
